The Story
Our Decaf Old City Blend is our best-selling decaf! A unique blend with the bright medium roast and a touch of bittersweet tang from the French Roast. Our namesake blend, Old City Blend, is a signature of our roastery, so it is only right that we create a decaf version for our customers who don’t want the caffeine (or want to sleep). We have carefully crafted this decaf blend to match the notes of the fully caffeinated version.
How was this coffee decaffeinated?
These beans were decaffeinated using the CO2 processing method, thought to be one of the more natural and environmentally friendly decaffeination methods. Pressurized CO2 is shot at the beans, which helps to extract the caffeine molecules. Other natural flavors in the bean are largely preserved, making it an ideal method for coffee lovers who enjoy the full coffee flavor experience, without the caffeine.
