This coffee is the decaf version of our Original Espresso Blend. All decaffeinated espresso drinks in our cafés are made with this blend, so it is perfect for your at-home decaf espresso! Though we primarily use this for our espresso, it also brews well as a drip coffee. It is dark, rich, and bittersweet, and you may notice a subtle smokiness.
How was this coffee decaffeinated?
These beans were decaffeinated using the CO2 processing method, thought to be one of the more natural and environmentally friendly decaffeination methods. Pressurized CO2 is shot at the beans, which helps to extract the caffeine molecules. Other natural flavors in the bean are largely preserved, making it an ideal method for coffee lovers who enjoy the full coffee flavor experience, without the caffeine.
