About the Artist:

Rachel Isaac is a Philadelphia printmaker, mixed-media artist, and custom framer. She was born into a family of artists; painters, printmakers, photographers, and designers. After graduating from Penn State University in 1980 with a BFA in printmaking she began printing small etchings on a tiny hand-me-down etching press and selling prints at art shows and craft festivals. An independent spirit, she “loved the independence of making and framing my art, packing it into my car, and driving all over the country to sell it. Anything could (and did) happen!”

In addition to producing original works on paper, Isaac makes frames for artists and collectors of every sort at her framing studio in Manayunk, Philadelphia. She has exhibited in numerous solo and group shows for over three decades.
